[...] I was extremely happy with my purchase [...] it only took me about 3 minutes to assemble. No tools are needed aside from a screwdriver for one bolt on the bottom that secures the base to the shaft, in which case I had no tools available I simply used a quarter and it did the trick. In the product description it is advertised that there are 12 hooks but there are actually 21 spots where you can hang hats, coats, scarves, sweatshirts, umbrellas, and anything you think you want to hang somewhere although the juxtaposition of the coats will be quite snug. The materials are durable and very aesthetically pleasing. The base is solid and heavy so there is little chance you will accidentally knock the rack over. Overall, I'm considering buying another one!

I have been searching for a coat rack for a long time. Previous ones have fallen apart. I want lots of hooks and no umbrella section. This one is pretty but the top hooks are not useful for us. They are too high so we can't easily reach them to hang coats and they stick up so that hangers can't be put on them. There is a row of tiny wooden hooks which don't serve much purpose and some slanted ones that stick into the shaft. I had hoped to use these for my handbag but the wooden shaft began to splinter from the weight. I would recommend it with reservations. I wish I could find a brass one like the ones I see in Italian restaurants.
